DESCRIPTION:Fengaros Festival is announcing its tenth edition with a bang: world-renowned trailblazers\, more than 45 hours of music from live bands and DJ sets from across the globe\, and a return to the ultra-unique village of Kato Drys on 28 – 30 July. The Tenth Anniversary: the festival has been waiting long enough to return to the village and host an entire community of music-lovers open to uncovering new encounters\, new boundary-testers\, and new communities. \nFengaros Festival 2022 has high expectations for its tenth edition\, providing a lineup of more than forty international and local acts to perform on stages dotted across the village – including in secret locations. The festival is known for its eclecticism – be sure to expect an exhilarating three days of boundary-pushing pop\, hard and heavy rock sets\, intimate folk melodies and night-long electronic music\, plus brand new\, yet-to-be-discovered local acts sure to delight all audiences. Greek electro-pop sweetheart Marina Satti\, fresh off a feat of worldwide wins including marking herself as Greece’s only-ever artist to have appeared on KEXP\, COLORS and NOWNESS is returning for the celebrations. Nightstalker\, one of Europe’s oldest and most legendary heavy\, psychedelic rock bands will also headline Fengaros. London darlings of post-punk\, Electric Litany have also been announced while beloved Greek folk-rock poet Pavlos Pavlidis & Hotel Alaska will close off the mainstage on the festival’s final evening. France-based Siberian\, Russian and Ukrainian synth alchemist Citron Sucré will also join the anniversary celebrations\, while other names include the wild and free dynamite pop artist Larry Gus\, ethno bass band Oratnitza with their twist on Bulgarian folk music\, Balkan rock monsters BAiLDSA\, legendary Greek producer and violinist Fotis Siotas\, along with Cypriot local groove-setters and atmospheric synth connoisseurs Inal Bilsel\, plus celestial and shimmery pop outfit Freedom Candlemaker\, as just some of the festival lineup acts performing on stages across the village. \nFengaros is known for combining top-notch music with the jaw-droppingly breathtaking scenery of a traditional Cypriot village where festival-goers can explore and camp underneath the stars of the summer night sky\, creating the ultimate festival experience unlike anything else on the island. A leader on the island in normalising environmentally conscious music practices and platforming underrepresented genders on festival lineups from the entire region\, Fengaros is a pioneer: it has spearheaded the creation of a three-day music festival in overlooked\, picturesque Mediterranean villages such as Kato Drys\, where visitors can experience an astounding three days\, and live the festival in all its glory.
