DESCRIPTION:“ΤΗΕ HISTORY OF VIDEO GAMES” EXPO\nLefkosia: 12\, 13 and 15-17 September 2026\nFoyer of Pallas Theatre\, Pafos Gate \nThe history of video games and personal computing comes to life at the Pallas Theatre foyer\, in a unique exhibition tracing the evolution of video game consoles and personal computers! \nThe Cyprus Symphony Orchestra Foundation\, in collaboration with the Video Games Museum and the Cyprus Computer Museum\, presents the exhibition “The History of Video Games”\, a journey through consoles and personal computers that marked different generations of players and helped shape the global culture of gaming. \nThrough selected exhibits from the collections of the two museums\, visitors will have the opportunity to discover iconic consoles personal computing and digital technology from different periods. Through the exhibits\, visitors will discover the evolution of video games and the technology that has shaped them: from the earliest home systems and the era of pixels to the latest generations of gaming platforms\, as well as of. Each console and each computer represents a small piece of a much larger story – a story of technological development\, creativity and entertainment\, as well as personal memories shared by millions of people around the world. \nThe exhibition is aimed both at those who grew up holding a controller\, and at younger generations wishing to discover how one of the most significant cultural and technological phenomena of our time began and evolved. \nThe Video Games Museum of Crete is the first museum in Greece dedicated to the history and culture of video games. DESCRIPTION:Simou AgroFest is a celebration of Cyprus’ rural heritage\, dedicated to local agricultural products\, traditional gastronomy\, culture and the rich traditions of the village of Simou. \nVisitors will have the opportunity to discover a wide variety of locally produced goods through farmers’ stalls\, taste authentic traditional delicacies and enjoy a selection of local food and drinks throughout the day. \nThe festival will feature live traditional music by Stefanos Pelekanis and his band\, performances of traditional Cypriot dances\, and live radio broadcasting by Zenith FM. \nThe programme also includes an exhibition of traditional farming tools and farm animals\, a photographic exhibition showcasing the history of Simou village\, and guided village tours. \nFamilies can enjoy train rides and horse riding\, while visitors will have the chance to watch live demonstrations of traditional crafts\, including basket weaving\, rope-tying techniques\, komboloi (worry beads) making\, reed flute (pithkiavli) crafting and traditional weaving. \nA special attraction will be the live preparation of the traditional Cypriot sweet Kattimerka by Chrysso Lefou\, offering visitors an authentic taste of Cyprus. \nSimou AgroFest aims to promote the agricultural wealth\, hospitality and cultural heritage of rural Cyprus\, offering an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages.
