The actor Petros Georkadjis plays the role of a present-day witch\, whose costume was specially designed for this production by Rea Olympiou. \nThe soundtrack that accompanies the narration consists of excerpts from various classical works by Mussorgsky\, Borodin\, Mozart\, Mendelssohn\, and other composers\, as well as brief new compositions by Alkis Baltas\, who took various Greek carols (Crete\, Corfu\, Macedonia\, Cyprus) and arranged them for chorus and orchestra. \nA tale full of magic spells\, adventure and an unexpected metamorphosis that will warm everyone’s hearts. \nAnd the story goes like this… \nThe witch Freakadella hates everything that is good…. especially… Christmas carols! When children sing them at Christmastime she gets furious and turns them into frogs\, ducklings\, kittens and other animals. Still\, even in their new form\, children keep on singing the Carols. After various adventures\, the children manage to change Freakadella’s mind and heart… \nThe concerts are held in collaboration with Radiomarathon\nIt is with special honour that the CySO Foundation collaborates for these concerts with Radiomarathon.
