The intimacy of chamber music\, performed by the best musicians in the world\, blending seamlessly with the enchanted atmosphere of the surroundings\, make the International Pharos Chamber Music Festival a cornerstone of the international classical music calendar and a source of inspiration for all who attend. \nThe 24th International Pharos Chamber Music Festival comprises five chamber concerts\, from 27 until 31 May at the Royal Manor House in Kouklia\, performed by 19 of the world’s leading virtuosos. DESCRIPTION:This event has been held every year since 2013\, with considerable success and has become an institution for wine events in our country. Around 30 wineries usually participate in it\, which have the opportunity to offer their wines for tasting to a large number of wine lovers\, connoisseurs\, and visitors to the island\, restaurant and wine cellar owners\, as well as other professionals related to wine and who promise visitors special tastings. \nThe event this year will be held under the auspices of the Mayor of Limassol and will be sponsored by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism and the Cyprus Ports Authority. \nExhibition Program· Exhibition opening hours: Sunday 18:00 – 22:00· During the Exhibition\, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy wine tastings and engage in wine discussions with the people behind each wine — our winemakers — and to discover both indigenous and international grape varieties cultivated in our country.· In addition\, a workshop will take place with audience participation\, focusing on the proper way to serve wines.

DESCRIPTION:The PSI Foundation is proud to announce the opening of the Tekton exhibition in its premises to be visited from April 7\, 2025. The exhibition will be the first to showcase the visionary work of Andreas Papadopoulos and Phoebus Polydorides\, a pioneering engineer-architect duo active in Limassol in the late 1950s and early 1960s. \nAndreas Papadopoulos (1922–2009) was a skilled engineer and an active advocate for the independence of Cyprus\, later serving as the Minister of Transport and Works in the country’s first independent government. \nPhoebus Polydorides (1926–2019) played a key role in defining Limassol’s urban aesthetic\, designing several iconic buildings\, including Aktaia\, which became a landmark of the city’s modernist transformation. \nThe Tekton exhibition delves into the evolution of Modernist architecture in Cyprus\, highlighting its role as a powerful symbol of the country’s newfound sovereignty and as a response to the colonial architectural style of the first half of the 20th century. It examines the achievements of Papadopoulos and Polydorides\, who introduced innovative architectural forms into the Cypriot landscape and proposed important urban solutions that shaped the identity of the evolving country. Unpublished archival materials offer a rare glimpse into the duo’s contributions to Cyprus’ cultural and architectural heritage. \nThe revolutionary approach is further developed by a site-specific installation by British artist Matt Collishaw Aftermath. Specially created for the dramatic modernist interior of the PSI Foundation in 2024 it serves as a bridge between the past and the future via the unique dialogue on cultural transformation that incorporates artificial intelligence. \nTekton is curated by Dimitri Ozerkov\, Chief Curator of PSI Foundation and former director of the Contemporary Art Department at the Hermitage Museum\, and Danila Parniouk\, acclaimed photographer and Art Director of PSI Foundation. The exhibition will run through August 2025 and will be open to the public free of charge in the working hours available at https://psi.art. \nThe Parallel Program to the exhibition kicks off on March 22\, at 18:00\, with an Artist Talk “The Body in Excess\, Zombies\, Cyborgs & Chimeras\,” by renowned Limassol-born performance artist Stelarc. \nThe non-profit PSI Foundation was established in Limassol in 2024 with the mission to support and cultivate the thriving artistic landscape of Cyprus. Central to its vision is the promotion of contemporary art in dialogue with technology. Through curated exhibitions\, collaborative projects\, and creative sessions\, the Foundation strives to challenge perceptions about the convergence of art and technology and inspire audiences to explore new realms of possibility. As part of its dedication to showcasing the rich tapestry of Cypriot art\, the Foundation proudly supported the Cyprus National Pavilion at the 60th Venice Biennale and hosted several networking events. In 2024 PSI Foundation commissioned Casts of an Island 2024\, an exhibition to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the division of the island of Cyprus. \nAnother mission of the Foundation consists of preserving the historic Carob Warehouse of Limassol and envisaging its future use. DESCRIPTION:Lefkosia: Thursday 13 February 2025 – Pallas Theatre\, Pafos Gate\, 20:30 \nMusical composition in Cyprus is thriving\, thanks to a bursting array of Cypriot composers bringing a fresh\, imaginative perspective to contemporary musical creation on the island. \nUnder the baton of the rising Cypriot conductor Kyriaki Kountouri\, the concert “Cyprophonia 3” will offer audiences a glimpse into the country’s vibrant musical creation\, highlighting the works of four Cypriot composers. \nSavvas Savva’s Concerto for piano no. 3 has been commissioned by the CySO Foundation and will receive its world premiere with the amazing Cypriot pianist Rami Sadieddine as the soloist – an artist who regularly champions contemporary works. The audience will also have the opportunity to hear the world premieres of ‘Physeos Kelados’ by George Hadjimarkou and ‘Coastal Land’ by Nicos Vichas\, as well as the Phanos Dymiotis’ Divertimento.
