DESCRIPTION:The 2nd Olive & Traditional Products Festival in the Community of Nikitari–Asinou returns for the second consecutive year\, inviting young and old to a special celebration dedicated to the olive\, our traditions and our local products. \nA festival dedicated to a product that is an integral part of our local identity — the Olive! \n\nWalking and photography at a centuries-old olive tree\nGuided tour of the community and its olive groves\, including olive harvesting\nPreparation of tsakistes olives (cracked olives)/ Hands-on workshop for making traditional cracked olives\nPreparation of traditional dishes featuring olives\nHistorical reenactments and an “Olive Hunt” for our young visitors\nTraditional dance performances\nLive music\n\nThroughout the Festival: \n\nTraditional and handmade products\, food\, and drinks\nHands-on workshop on making candles using olive oilThemed photo spot dedicated to the olive\nHands-on workshop on preparing and serving warm palouzes (traditional Cypriot grape pudding)\nOlive-themed crafts and an Olive Hunt for younger visitors.\n\nThe Community Council of Nikitari will offer visitors a local treat: kapíres with olive oil and oregano\, and tsakistes olives. \nFREE ENTRY FOR ALL

DESCRIPTION:The Association of Lagoudera Residents and Expatriates is organising the Festival of Authentic Traditional Flavours on Sunday\, 11 October 2026\, from 10:00 to 17:00\, at the square of Agios Georgios Church in Lagoudera\, Cyprus. \nThis all-day festival is dedicated to Cypriot gastronomy\, traditional flavours\, local products and the preservation of our cultural heritage. \nVisitors will have the opportunity to discover authentic Cypriot culinary traditions through interactive workshops demonstrating the preparation of traditional halloumi cheese\, fresh anari cheese\, soutzoukos and palouzes. \nThrough these activities\, visitors of all ages will be able to actively participate in the preparation of traditional products\, learn about the ingredients and techniques used\, and experience authentic Cypriot traditions firsthand. They will also have the opportunity to taste these freshly prepared traditional delicacies free of charge\, enjoying the authentic flavours of the Cypriot countryside. \nThe festival will also feature stalls offering a variety of traditional Cypriot food and beverages for purchase\, including souvla (traditional charcoal-grilled meat)\, baked potatoes\, Cypriot pies\, bourekia (traditional pastries)\, halloumi cheese\, palouzes\, soutzoukos\, wine and zivania\, providing visitors with a complete gastronomic experience. \nVisitors will also have the opportunity to discover and purchase local products and handmade creations\, supporting local producers and artisans. \nThe festival aims to showcase the rich gastronomic heritage of rural Cyprus\, promote and support local producers\, and preserve and pass on Cypriot traditions to younger generations through authentic\, hands-on experiences. \nAdmission to the festival and participation in the interactive workshops are free of charge. \nThe event is held with the sponsorship of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Cyprus.

DESCRIPTION:The event will be dedicated to the traditional wine of Cyprus\, Commandaria\, for which our Community is famous throughout Cyprus and its derivatives\, namely palouze\, siousioukko\, as well as various other traditional products (pisies\, making halloumi\, resi\, etc.). \nAttendees\, during the event\, will have the opportunity to help in the preparation of palouze and to taste for free the traditional products that will be available at the event\, as well as to try Commandaria and zivania. \nCome to the beautiful Koumandarochori for a special weekend\, full of Cypriot flavors\, tradition and authentic traditional products.
