In this concert, the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra is happily joined by three exceptional Venezuelan musicians: the internationally renowned conductor Manuel Hern\u00e1ndez\u2013Silva, the sensational trumpet virtuoso Pacho Flores and the amazing guitarist and cuatro player Jes\u00fas \u2018Ping\u00fcino\u2019 Gonz\u00e1lez.

\nSchubert\u2019s delightful Sixth Symphony will open the concert. The captivating artistry of Pacho Flores will shine in the works by Latin American composers that follow: Heter\u00f3nimos<\/em>, composed by Flores himself, Villa-Lobos\u2019 popular Bachianas Brasileiras no. 5 fusing baroque elements with Brazilian tunes and Piazzolla\u2019s Revirado, <\/em>a high-spirited tango piece.

\nIn Pacho Flores\u2019 Cantos y Revueltas,<\/em> based on Venezuelan folk tunes and work chants, the famous trumpeter is joined by the wonderful Jes\u00fas \u2018Ping\u00fcino\u2019 Gonz\u00e1lez on the cuatro \u2013 a small Venezuelan guitar-like instrument \u2013 rounding off the programme in an invigorating Venezuelan vibe!
