Elgar’s Cello Concerto in E minor, is a masterpiece that captivates with its profound emotion and subtle complexity. Composed in the aftermath of World War I, it reflects Elgar’s deep personal introspection and is filled with a rich, haunting tone, and moments of intense drama. The Orchestra is excited to collaborate with the highly distinguished Norwegian cellist \u00d8yvind Gimse as the soloist in this magnificent concerto.<\/p>\n
Often referred to as “Beethoven’s Tenth” for its bold, grand scope, Brahms’ Symphony no. 1 in C minor, combines drama, passion, and a triumphant, uplifting finale.<\/p>\n
