DESCRIPTION:Get some exercise at the weekend   \n\n			Explore the paths of the Cyprus countryside   \n\n			Meet people and make new friends.   \n\n\n	The Cyprus Strollers (http://cyprus-strollers.org) is organizing a hike in nature every weekend\, from October to May.     \n	The Cyprus Strollers welcome individuals and families (children and dogs welcome as well) living in Cyprus\, irrespective of nationality\, and equally visitors and tourists\, who love nature and search for hiking opportunities during their stay.    \n	The schedule for January through June is confirmed (http://cyprus-strollers.org/activities-schedule/). The Cyprus Strollers is a unique hiking club\, broad reaching\, with a dedicated website in English. It is offering walks mainly of moderate duration (2 1/2 -3 1/2 hours)\, suitable for families\, hikers and nature lovers with an average fitness and an appetite to discover the natural beauties of Cyprus. Each walk announcement includes reference to the degree of difficulty. SUMMARY:Limassol Carnival 2024 - 7-17.03.2024
DESCRIPTION:The Limassol Carnival is the oldest and most popular folk festivity in Limassol but also across Cyprus.To this day\, the Carnival remains a strong urban and family tradition for the people of Limassol\, a tradition handed down from one generation to the next. The main characteristics of the Carnival festive season are the consumption of meat and wine\, satire\, dancing and singing – particularly serenades – as well as the masked revellers and costumes. \n	Nowadays the Carnival festivities depend a great deal on private initiatives\, but also on Limassol Municipality\, which organises 11 days of festivities that include parades\, outdoor dances\, costume competitions\, visual arts exhibitions\, etc. As in the old days\, the Carnival festive season officially starts on Shrove Tuesday. On this day the people of Limassol gather at various locations in the town’s historic centre\, where they celebrate the traditional season customs\, such as the consumption of meat (tsiknomata in Greek)\, serenading\, and makeshift parties. The carnival events\, and the merry-making in the taverns\, nightclubs and hotels\, peak on the two weekends.
