DESCRIPTION:In the beautiful coastal areas of Cyprus\, Protaras and Cape Greco\, one of the most demanding and impressive endurance races will take place on 15th October 2023\, the Protaras SwimRun Cyprus 2023 Powered by capo∙bay\,\n	 \n	The race is organized by SwimRun Cyprus in collaboration with the Municipality of Paralimni.\n	 \n	A SwimRun is a multiple-stage competition which involves participants running and swimming over a racecourse that involves multiple swim and run stages. Participants competes in teams consisting of 2 and typically do not change clothing in transitions as in other multi-sports such as triathlon. All equipment used by participants has to be carried all the way to the finish line.\n	 \n	The athletes will start their race in front of the luxurious Capo-Bay Hotel\, run along the Protaras coastal area and swim at the famous beaches of Fig Tree\, Green Bay\, Nissia\, and Konnos. DESCRIPTION:The first ever Renaissance Fair will take placeon Saturday\, October 21\, 2023 in Pyrga (Larnaca District).\n		 \n		It will take you on a journey back in time\, recreating a local fair during the pilgrimage of Catherine Cornaro\, last Queen of Cyprus\, to the Latin royal chapel of Saint Catherine in Pyrga.\n		 \n		Costumed performers from Italy\, San Marino\, and Cyprus will entertain with songs\, dances\, story-telling and traditional poetrydating back to and inspired by the Cypriot and Italian Renaissance.The fairwill include games and activities for the whole family\, an outdoor market of local products and handicrafts\, a walk around the venue to the historic monuments and Nature\, and food and drinks from local businesses.\n		 \n		The fairis a cultural initiative forthe countryside.It willoffer not only spectacle\, but also active participation\, focusing on the European elementof Cypriot history with all the effects it had and still has.The local community is actively participating in the event through the involvement of the Pyrga Elementary School\, the Saint Barbara Regional Gymnasium\, cultural groups and volunteers.\n		 \n		The fair is organised by the Laona Foundation\, within the framework of the European project Beyond Cultural Tourism (Be.Cultour\, Horizon 2020) in collaboration with the Community Council of Pyrga and the Larnaca and Famagusta Districts Development Agency (ANETEL).
