The Ayia Napa Fish Festival is coming at the end of August!

The Ayia Napa Municipality organizes a three-day Fish Festival which will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday 27, 28 and 29 August 2021, at the Amphitheater of the Ayia Napa Municipal Museum "Thalassa", with the aim of promoting the Cypriot customs and traditions related to catching and preparing fish. The festival includes a rich traditional music and dance program, demonstration of traditional fishing crafts suchas sewing nets, making fishing traps, filleting and cooking fish, while guests will be able to taste the various recipes for free. In detail, the program is as follows:

Friday 27th August 2021
20:00       Cypriot Traditional Dances by the Ayia Napa 

Municipal Dancing Group and «Kimon» Xylotympou Dancing Group

Antonis Korizis – Lute & Theophanis Theophanous – Violin 

20:30     Cyprus Traditional Music by the musical group Kremmastoi 
** Greetings from the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannettou

21:00     Traditional poets- Traditional Cypriot songs, love songs and poems competition.
The competition is coordinated by Michalis Xadjimichael

Saturday 28th August 2021
20:00    «Αroma of Tradition»  
Sergiani from the tradition of Cyprus and the wider Greek area to the contemporary composers and lyricists who marked the Greek Song.
Performers:  Vasiliki Hadjiadamou, Savvas Lagou
Participating musicians: Efthimios Papadopoulos, Pavlos Michaelides, Aristos Christodoulou, Andreas Ioannou

Sunday 29th August 2021
20:00   Greek Islands Dances by the Ayia Napa Municipal Dancing Group, «Kimon» Xylotympou Dancing Group and the Culture Association Youth Musical group «Romiosini» 
 
20:30     Concert by Ayia Napa Culture Association «CavoGreco» and dances by the Dancing Group «Rymvos» and the Dancing Group «Rythmos»
There will be demonstrations with fishing crafts such as sewing nets, making trapping crafts as well as scaling, rinsing and roasting the fish.
 
All protection measures against Covid 19 will be observed.
Safe pass will be requested
