DESCRIPTION:On the occasion of the new publication by the Cyprus National Commission for UNESCO\, “World Heritage of Cyprus: History\, Myth\, Religion”\, we invite you to join us in guided tours\, hiking activities\, and events at UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Cyprus. These activities are co-organized by the Department of Antiquities\, the Cyprus National Commission for UNESCO\, and the Deputy Ministry of Tourism\, in the framework of the International Day for Monuments and Sites\, the International Museum Day\, and the 80th anniversary of UNESCO. \nThe three inscriptions of Cyprus on the UNESCO World Heritage List —the Neolithic settlement of Choirokoitia\, the Archaeological Site of Pafos (Palaepafos and Nea Pafos)\, and the ten Painted Churches of the Troodos Region —constitute emblematic testimonies of the island’s cultural identity\, while also highlighting the close relationship between people and the natural environment. \n  \n🔸 25 April\, Choirokoitia: Hiking\, guided tour\, visit at local workshop of basket weaving & traditional dairy production & light brunch\n(Reservations here) \n🔸 9 May\, Painted Troodos Churches: Hiking on the Panagia tou Araka & Stavros Agiasmati trail and guided tour in the two churches\n(Reservations here) \n🔸 16 May\, Palaepaphos: Guided tour\, children’s art workshop & “Piano Tour” concert with Ars Nova Choir\n(Reservations here) \n📌 Free participation – reservations required \nSaturday\, 25 April 2026\, Choirokoitia\nActivity description\nHike and guided tour along the Choirokoitia trail (difficulty level 2 – moderate) and the archaeological site.
