Lefkara Classic 2026 – 15.11.2026

The Lefkara Classic is a premier international endurance cycling event (Brevet-style) organized end-to-end by the cycling operators running The Agora Hotel in Pano Lefkara. Designed to showcase Cyprus as a world-class, year-round cycling destination, the event brings together amateur and competitive high-level riders from across Europe and the Mediterranean to tackle the island’s most spectacular terrain.

The race features an incredibly demanding 150km route packing almost 5,000 meters of elevation gain, leveraging the quiet, safe tarmac and mountainous topography of the Troodos range. Cyclists start from the historic village of Lefkara, navigating unique and scenic locations of cultural significance. The route passes directly through the landmark Machairas Monastery (Moni Machaira) and along the celebrated Pitsilia Wine Route, guiding riders through remote, picturesque mountain villages including Farmakas, Alona, Zoopigi, and Ayios Constantinos. Participants will navigate 4 dedicated checkpoints every 45km for time-card stamping and refueling before descending back.

This one-day challenge offers an authentic, professional-grade endurance racing experience that acts as a powerful catalyst for boosting sustainable regional tourism in Lefkara and the surrounding mountain network. By filling regional accommodations, local restaurants, and traditional shops during the off-peak November period, the event directly revitalizes the local economy and dynamically promotes sports tourism in certified rural and mountainous areas during the winter season.
