On Wednesday, 12 August 2026, the Troodos Observatory invites you to an evening dedicated to observing the Perseids, one of the most impressive meteor showers of the year.
In the outdoor area of the Observatory, there will be free stargazing sessions, free observations with portable telescopes, as well as free screenings of the documentary “Troodos: Rising to the Stars.”
Optional stargazing and observation sessions using the 0.5 m PlaneWave telescope will also take place at the following times:

The event is suitable for all ages. Warm clothing is recommended, as temperatures on the mountain drop during the evening.
