The PREMIERE 2 concerts bring together two internationally acclaimed artists: the globally revered Cypriot pianist Martino Tirimo, praised for his great interpretative depth and formidable technique, and the conductor Panayiotis Papadopoulos, celebrated for blending rhythmic precision with passionate nuance in his interpretations.

Mozart’s Overture to Così fan tutte sparkles with wit and elegance, setting a vibrant tone for the programme ahead. Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis was a seminal figure of Lithuanian culture. This year marks the 150^th anniversary of the birth of this prolific visual artist and composer, renowned for uniquely blending the two art forms. His tone poem In the Forest evokes a mystical, dreamlike atmosphere, combining impressionistic textures with deep lyricism and nationalistic spirit.

Johannes Brahms’ started composing his Piano concerto no. 1 in D minor at the tender age of 21 overwhelmed by the heartbreaking suicide attempt of his mentor and close friend Robert Schumann, completing it five years later. It is an awe-inspiring, intensely emotional work of staggering proportions. The young composer poured his heart and soul into every note of this concerto, from its thunderous opening to its intimate moments of reflection.
