The Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev created the adventurous musical story “Peter and the wolf” in which the instruments of the orchestra “recount” the tale in a unique musical manner, representing the protagonists: little Peter, a bird, a duck, a cat, Peter’s grandfather and a wolf that lurks in the forest!
So come along to meet the joyful and bold strings, a chirping flute, an oboe gliding on the water, a clarinet leaping nimbly on the grass, a slowly walking bassoon with a frown on its face, the menacing horns and the banging timpani!
Maestro Francis Nectarios Guy conducts the orchestra and the actor Petros Georkadjisnarrates the story.
