Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra LA TRAVIATA – 9-10 December 2026
LA TRAVIATA Giuseppe Verdi
Celebrating 20 years of Cyprus Symphony Orchestra Foundation
One of the most moving operas of the Romantic repertoire, Giuseppe Verdi’s La Traviata comes to life in a fully staged production by the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra, presented through an imaginative and innovative directorial vision by Egli Spyridaki, under the Artistic Direction of Yiorgos Kountouris.
The production brings together an outstanding cast of Cypriot opera artists, combining the experience of acclaimed performers with the freshness and enthusiasm of emerging talents. The leading roles are performed by the rising, exceptionally gifted soprano Eleni Charalambous, the distinguished tenor Christos Delizonas and the internationally acclaimed Cypriot baritone Kyros Patsalides.
The choral parts are performed by the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra Choir under the direction of Loizos Loizou, while the Nicosia Youth Ballet also joins the production, adding a further dimension of movement and theatrical expression.
An ambitious production, La Traviata promises to transport audiences into a world of passion, sacrifice, and profound emotion, offering an unforgettable experience both for devoted opera lovers and for those discovering the magic of opera for the very first time.
