This year the Pafos Aphrodite Festival offers opera lovers a unique production: the State Opera and Ballet Theatre of Tbilisi (Georgia) with the participation of the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, will present Georges Bizet’s opera “Carmen”, one of the most beloved and timeless operas ever written.
“Carmen” recounts the story of Carmen, a free-spirted and irresistible woman. The legendary opera will come to life on stage with all the power, passion, and tragedy that have defined it since its premiere in 1875.
With music pulsating with rhythm, inspiration, and melody — from the famous Habanera to the explosive Toreador Song — “Carmen” captivates audiences and remains an eternal symbol of freedom, feminine strength, and human tragedy.
