Olive festival – 12.9.2025

ln our community, there is a centuries-old olive tree, which served as the inspίration for the establishment of the annual event titled ‘Όlive Festival.”

This event ίs dedicated to the sacred and precious olive tree, which holds deep cultural, hίstorίcal, and economic sίgnίfίcance for our vίllage. Our vίllage ίs consίdered an olίve-producing area, as ίt is home to three operatίng olίve mίlls.

The aίm of the festίval ίs to hίghlight the tradίtίon and the role of the olίve tree ίn people’s lίves. The event space wίll feature booths wίth olive-based products, a hands-on workshop for kneadίng and bakίng olive pίe, as well as other local delίcacίes. The program wίll be enrίched wίth tradίtional musίc and Cyprίot dances performed by the Cultural Association of Agglίsides.
