Minthis is a beautiful and challenging course that winds its way past a 12th-century monastery with breath-taking views of the Troodos Mountains and beyond. The 18-hole championship course boasts outstanding holes where views and vistas are a distinctive feature, organically following the natural undulations of the topography, looping past water features and ancient groves, with hundreds of olive trees, fruit orchards and grapevines with the mountains in the distance beyond.
Designed by legendary golf architect Donald Steel in 1994 and renovated by renowned course designers Mackenzie and Ebert, the course is a flawless example of their philosophy that golf courses should fit into the terrain, be in keeping with their setting and focus on the details.
Few places are so tranquil for a friendly game, elevated tees invite everyone to “have a go”, yet narrow tree-lined fairways provide a challenge, with each shot requiring careful assessment. Mackenzie and Ebert also transformed the 14th hole into a superb signature hole, the only island green in Cyprus. To top it off it is a looped course, with each nine returning to the Clubhouse, perfect for halfway refreshments.
The impressive Clubhouse is the social heart of the golf club, enjoying fantastic views of the golf course and dramatic valley. The lounge, golf terrace and cocktail bar offer the perfect space for pre and post game drinks, while the restaurant transforms the finest local and international ingredients into culinary delights. A fully-equipped Pro Shop is located in the Clubhouse.
Minthis also has a golf academy which is dedicated to creating outstanding golf learning experiences to improve the game while making it all the more enjoyable.
The resort boasts a breathtaking hillside location, in the heart of Pafos’ wine producing region. Just ten minutes outside Pafos, the resort is surrounded by quaint traditional villages, providing an authentic experience of Cyprus.
